As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#12739) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors,

I offer individual counselling for youth and adults. I have a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Athabasca University. I am thankful to be able to use my education and fifteen years of counselling experience to support you.

Do you ever think about whether you handle certain areas of life well? Feel you are not where you want to be, have too much going on, are stressed, put yourself last, and sometimes struggle with letting things go? If so, I invite you to meet with me so we can explore what is going on.

When we work together, you can expect that:

I will meet you where you are at, treat you with respect and dignity, and make sure the approaches I use fit your specific concerns.

The therapeutic approaches I may use when working with you are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Self-Relations Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Click here to find out more about these therapeutic approaches.

I believe what we think, how we feel, what we say, and what we do reflects our overall health and well-being.

There have been many times in my life where what I thought, felt, said, and did showed me that I needed some help and healing.

Past experiences I had no control over, my upbringing, and some choices I made led me to not being as healthy or as well as I could be. Perhaps this is the same for you. If so, I want you to know that it's not your fault and there is hope.

Together we can improve your relationships, find clarity around the impact of life experiences, find freedom from shame, self-blame, and worry, and discover helpful tools for navigating life's challenges.

At Encounter Counselling,

I am passionate about supporting you toward a life full of peace, joy, hope, purpose, and connection.
